In conjunction with Consortium Communication, the Electric
Communication Company has completed an exciting web project
for The Australian Ballet.
The on-line subscription booking forms.
This unique custom web application allows the Australian
Ballet to accept applications and secure payments for subscriptions
24 hours a day seven days a week.
The design approach taken is significantly different to that
taken by other arts organisations offering on-line subscription
bookings. Returning subscribers are able to log-in to view
and edit their personal and subscription details, make changes
and fulfill payments.
The interface is designed to give users constant feed back,
making first time e-commerce users feel secure and capable.
This enhanced customer experience is core to our design philosophy.
The application integrates with the ballets legacy booking
system as though it were just another member of the subscription
team. Selling subscriptions and tailoring subscriptions packages
to customers needs.
Site operators within the organisation have been given control
of the content for annual up-date via a powerful backend interface.
We were chosen for the development because of our lateral
approach to web construction.
The results since going live in early 2002 have impressed
the ballet and their subscribers.
